It would be easy to use a dry powder cake mix and only emphasize the exterior; however, we go so much further by making the inside of your Sweet Creation by hand and from scratch. Choosing the Perfect Wedding Cake
BitterSweet’s team of wedding cake specialists will guide you through the process of choosing your wedding cake. We will discuss and advise on all the matters of cake flavors and fillings to suit your custom design and special theme.
Personal Cake Consultations
To ensure you choose the perfect cake for your wedding, we offer personal design, tasting and consultation sessions for every BitterSweets' wedding customer. Our Design Tasting Consultation is $20.00 and the fee is applied towards the deposit of your cake creation. You will enjoy the experience, as our wedding cake specialists go through your wishes step-by-step, explaining and advising where appropriate, and leaving no detail or option unexplored. During the consultation (which tends to take about 1 hour) please take your time and savor the cake tasting. Or, you may choose to take the samples home and enjoy them with a glass of champagne. Because cake samples are made especially for consultations, we offer fresh baked flavors and fillings.
We feel it's best to meet with each of our wedding clients personally so that we can really get to know you and your vision for your celebration. We will discuss your event and your ideas, and create a color sketch of your cake.
Please limit the number of guest to your tasting (2 to 3) so that you may enjoy the experience, and if possible, no small children.
Be sure to bring any pictures (printed) of ideas, fabric, textures, pictures of other cakes with similar themes, and most certainly the exact colors you desire which will aid in the design and construction of the cake.
Additionally, please come with as much event information as possible, including the wedding schedule, important contacts and all delivery conditions and needs.
Please Note: Wedding cake prices are based on the flavor, complexity, and design of the cake. We will provide you with a final quote once we have gone over all your celebration details and discussed the specifics of your creation.
To ensure a smooth, stress-free process, please give us as much time as possible to help you choose and customize your cake. We will do our best to accommodate all orders, but the more notice we have, the better. Because we design, create, and bake to your order, we limit the number of cakes per week made by the pastry artists at BitterSweets; that way we can spend valuable time on your individual needs and special creation. We stand by our "Quality" and not the quantity of cakes we can produce in a week.

Delivery Details/Assembly
BitterSweets cakes can be delivered throughout the Albuquerque area, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, and the East Mountains. Delivery charges to your venue are determined on a per-cake basis.
